Free parking
On-street parking in Molde is normally free in the evening, at night and on Sundays and public holidays — but the charging hours are set by the municipality and shown on the sign, so always check the signs. Car parks and garages usually charge around the clock. The most reliable free options are park-and-ride sites and time-limited parking-disc spaces.
- On-street parking is charged on weekdays (approx. 08–17/18) and Saturday approx. 08–15 — free in the evening, at night and all day Sunday. The car parks charge around the clock.
- On Sundays, on-street parking is free of charge
- A valid municipal disabled permit gives free parking at publicly regulated spaces and allows parking beyond the normal maximum stay. Molde car park requires separate registration.
- At Aker stadium, 201 spaces are free with a permit. They are not freely available without a valid permit on weekdays.
EV charging and parking
EVs pay the same charge as other vehicles – no discount at the municipal spaces.

Motorhome parking
Allowed: Molde Municipality has no dedicated publicly regulated motorhome site, but states that motorhomes may park 24 hours at the charged Idrettsvegen car park.

- Emptying and water point between the filling station and Scandic Seilet, Julsundvegen 52; closed in winter.

Motorhomes, caravans and trailers are not permitted in Molde car park. Ordinary parking at Idrettsvegen is not camping; do not set out tables, chairs or stabilisers, and always follow signs.
