Resident parking

Residential zone parking applies in central Stavern during the summer season, 10 June–20 August. Visitors may not park in the regulated residential zones; the municipality refers visitors to public car parks around the centre, of which the four closest are charged.

Free parking

On-street parking in Larvik is normally free in the evening, at night and on Sundays and public holidays — but the charging hours are set by the municipality and shown on the sign, so always check the signs. Car parks and garages usually charge around the clock. The most reliable free options are park-and-ride sites and time-limited parking-disc spaces.
